United Is The Way

For more than a century, the Lycoming County United Way has been mobilizing the collective resources of our communities to action so ALL can thrive.

We surround our region’s most critical problems, and we fight. We fight to keep families in their homes and out of shelters, to help kids to succeed in school and to provide people with access to life-changing health and human services. With your help, we can turn this fight into a win.

Various Sites

Lycoming County United Way’s Day of Action is an annual event that brings together volunteers to support local nonprofits and community initiatives. Through this day of service, businesses, organizations, and individuals unite to complete hands-on projects that directly benefit agencies within United Way’s service area. From landscaping and painting to assembling care packages and facility improvements, volunteers dedicate their time and skills to make a tangible impact. This initiative not only strengthens community partnerships but also fosters a spirit of giving, reinforcing United Way’s mission to mobilize communities to action so all can thrive in Lycoming, Sullivan, and Tioga Counties.

This year’s event will take place on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Registration is now open for volunteers! Register to volunteer here: www.lcuw.org/day-of-action/
