Our goal remains to help clients 55,000 times next year, but there are a great many needs that will go unmet unless we raise significantly more dollars. You can donate at http://lcuw.org/give/ or by texting LIVEUNITED to 50155. You can help. Will you?
Each day this week, some of our new friends will be sharing how their lives have been impacted by programs funded in part by the Lycoming County United Way. Their stories of despair and hope are powerful and we are grateful for their courage and participation.
YWCA Northcentral PA’s Liberty House program has been helping women and women with children as a transitional housing program since 2003. Clients work with case managers to reach specific goals and objectives to achieve sustainability and economic empowerment. When women leave Liberty House, they have the skills and self-confidence to lead independent lives. Julie Calabro-Taylor was a resident of Liberty House and with the help of her caseworker, Heather Harris, is now a strong, independent mom and a Certified Recovery Specialist. We are so proud of Julie and Heather. This is their story.
Thank you for helping us make an impact. Thank you for LIVING UNITED!
