For the 20th consecutive year, Home Run Team sponsors donated $25 for each home run hit by a Williamsport Crosscutters player. During the past 19 seasons, the Home Run Team has raised more than $125,000 to help United Way support vital human service programs across Lycoming County. LCUW Campaign Chair Dr. William J. Martin thanked the sponsors and attendees for their support of the campaign, which kicked off Sept. 12. This year’s sponsors included: Fairfield Auto Group, Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc., Jersey Shore State Bank, Lycoming Mall, Muncy Bank and Trust Company, Phillips Supply House, Ron Insinger, Staiman Recycling Group, Susquehanna Bank, Williamsport Crosscutters, and Woodlands Bank. Former major league player Tom O’Malley has served as the Home Run Team captain since the program’s inception in 1994. Home Run Team player of the year, Zack Green, was honored by LCUW Executive Director Scott N. Lowery.
